SUPER ELITE DIVISION V
32 Teams (4 Regions of 8)… Each team will play everyone within their region (7 games), one game against a team from each of the other regions (3 games), and two more games against teams from either Division IV or Division I, which will not count against qualification for the postseason (which should encourage local rivalries or competition against local teams from smaller divisions and keep those programs afloat financially!)… The top two teams from each region will gain automatic entry into the 16-team “High Visibility National Championship Tournament” (Format below), and the remaining eight teams will be selected by a blue-ribbon panel of CFB “experts.” The Super Elite Division V members will be those who have the greatest resourses (minimum $50 Million FB budgets), and have sustained the most consistent success over the past 10-20 years. These members will be re-evaluated every 4 years and a realignment of membership and region affiliation could occur… If your favorite team does not appear on this list, tough. Not everybody is worthy of Super Elite status, but these are the football schools that we have determined belong on the first cut. Tell your school to step up their commitment and you will be considered again four years from now! Super Elite Division V Playoff Format
The playoff participants will be seeded 1-16 by the blue ribbon panel regardless of region affiliation. The top eight seeds will host first round games at home on the second week of December (after a bye week for all teams following the final week of the regular season, which will conclude on the Saturday following Thanksgiving and there will be NO Region/Conference Championship games, which are stupid and a huge waste of time!!). The top four seeds of the remaining teams will host Round 2 on the third week of December. The remaining four teams will have Christmas week off and return to practice on December 27th. The semi-finals and Championship game will be played at the SAME neutral site during the first two weeks of the new year….. ANY QUESTIONS? Good… Now, we all know this is the greatest CFB proposal ever invented, spread the word!
